I wish I would have gotten into Farscape when it was still being produced. I’m currently watching episodes via the web (http://powerflv.com/) and I’m just about done with the first season. All of the characters including the puppets (Pilot and Rygel) and Moya (the ship) are richly developed and continuously intriguing and only one gets on my nerves (Aeryn).
Apparently, from what I’ve heard, Aeryn and the male lead, John, end up married. This makes me ever so sad, for two reasons. One being that Aeryn makes me nuts with her occasional attempts at being soft and feminine and the other is that she ends up married to the hawt-hawt John.
I didn’t think I could get into Farscape. The couple of times I’d seen it before (while channel surfing) it didn’t really grab me and John didn’t strike me as a character I’d even care about or would get invested in.
I was wrong.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to watching more episodes and seeing what happens to these characters. Well all of ‘em except Aeryn whom I will probably always only just tolerate. In my mind Aeryn is to Fascape as Deanna Troi is to TNG.
