Under $200!

It seems that Newegg is having a sale on EVGA cards. If you can’t afford the $249.99 for the EVGA GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCIe on the Got|Deals page, then this card is not a bad alternative.

Rebate expires today (1/31/08).

They also have the 8800GTS 640MB version (http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-268435-10440897?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.newegg.com%2FProduct%2FProduct.asp%3FItem%3DN82E16814130317%26ATT%3D26-104-016%26CMP%3DAFC-C8Junction&cjsku=N82E16814130317&sid=998&afsrc=1) for $289.99 AR

That's a great price, but I'd go for the 512MB GT before the 320MB GTS, esp. if you're running at a high resolution (1600x1200 or above)

Now if it was the 640MB GTS...

I agree. Personally, I'm wating for the 512MB GT to fall below $200 (perhaps by the end of the year?) to build a whole new system. I'll most likely get a SLI mobo but start with only one video card. One can always add a second card when the prices drop even further.
