He must be one of those infamous "12:00 flashers" (if you've ever seen that old Internet Help Desk video).

$65 for a 10pm housecall... You should have doubled or tripled that.

Nah... for the amount of effort and the actual fix, that's just about right.
No need to gouge folks... as the "Geek Squad" already does that.
I tend to find that if you provide very good service at a reasonable price the tendency for more "word of mouth" promotion goes way up... Gouge folks and they'll most likely never call you again. :D

I had a nieghbor who spent $200 for plumber to come late at night to turn off the main water shutoff valve after a pipe burst. He was pissed because it was so simple. He blamed the condo association for not telling him and every owner how to do that. He's a moron.

Honestly, I hate plumbers who rape folks like that.
Yeah, I understand that you must charge a "doorbell fee" for your gas to get to the person's house, however for something as simple as that, even on a Sunday there is no way that they should charge you $200 for that.
That's just taking advantage of people.
Now if he actually had to dig up the yard to get to the shutoff valve...then ok. But you know that this wasn't the case.

You just gotta hope and pray his internet goes down late at night. :)
