i went to tsali national recreation area in NC last week for a few days of mountain biking. other than getting rained on the first day, we had a great time.
one of the more fun things we did was go on a night ride. we all brought our helmet lights and went out friday night for an 8 mile ride in the dark. there are few things as exciting and slightly scary and ripping through the forest, bouncing down the trail, and listening to the animals at night. plus it started thundering and lightning when we were about 1/2way through the ride.
my garmin took us out of the mountains by way of tail of the dragon road in TN. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/
not the most fun road to drive with a fully loaded car. 318 curves in 11 miles. yeesh. all the while trying not to hit someone zipping around the curve on a motorcycle.
