This dang program is driving me batty.

Is there a way within itunes to 'refresh' the song listing? I moved my music library from one drive to another, and now itunes can't find half of my music. I thought I would just remove everything from the library & re-add it all, but then it said it would remove everything from my ipod that was removed from the library. It there an easier way of refreshing the song list without removing & re-adding everything?

Also, why in the heck does itunes add a 2nd copy of a song if I add a playlist? I made a playlist of songs for running, which had lots of songs that were already on my ipod. When I sync'd the playlist, it copied a 2nd copy of these onto the ipod. What's up with that?

I think you can do what you want, and the only thing is that it'll take awhile for your ipod to sync the next time, because it will delete the 'old' song from the ipod, and add the 'new' song to the ipod.

I have the same complaint though. Seems to make moving your music library (or reformatting your computer) a huge pain. You sure it made a second copy and not just has the song listed twice in your playlist? I would have guessed that it would just add one more entry in the playlist.

Yeah, it actually copied the song to the ipod a second time. I was wondering why I had all of these duplicate songs until I realized they were all part of the new playlist I added.

Call me a rebel!

Maybe I'm just better off wiping them both & starting over. Anyone know of a good itunes alternative? I had a look at Anapod Explorer, but it never worked right for me.
