i recently bought a cardexpert geforce 2mx at the pomona computer show and was wondering why is my screen so blurry? i installed the latest detonator 3 drivers and yet when i ran my desktop at resolution of 1152 X 864 my monitor became blurry, but when i ran it from my vodoo 3 it was crystal clear. what may be the cause of this problem?

Ttry reverting back to the older set of drivers and see ifd that works. I've ran into this with 3dfx drivers.

Maybe try another monitor if you can, or try your old card and see if the monitor's blurry. Basically, eliminate one or the other

not the monitor because i ran the same card with my vodoo 3 and its crystal clear. but with the geforce 2 mx its blurry like if you were to add a blur filter in photoshop. so i can narrow it down to the video card?
Heh. I was just talking to someone last night. This person wasn't happy with the image quality {2D and 3D} of the GeForce2 MX they bought. So he returned the GeForce 2 MX for a Radeon. This person is very happy with the Radeons image quality.
Voodoo 3 has very good 2D image quality.
GeForce 2 videocards vary in 2D image quality. Even cards from the same manufacturer seem to vary. Try different refresh rates. Consult this page http://www.geforcefaq.com and see if you can come up with a solution. If you can't fix the problem take it back and get another videocard.

try fiddling with the refresh rates... your monitor may be blurry at a low (60Hz) setting, or blurry at a higher (85+Hz) setting. depends on the monitor.

i did... the refresh rate works fine at 60 Hz but my viewsonoic e773 can handle refresh rates at 75Hz at 1124 X 864.. i also heard that the card has many problems with via kt 133 chipsets is that true too??
