Smaller Houses

Wouldn't it be ironic if smaller houses command higher prices because of the price of energy?

now i can see people stop buying homes with vaulted ceilings and /or brick fireplaces.
and requesting 1/2 foam and tyvak house wrap under vinal siding. on the homes. but there will still be a great price diffrents from home to home on price.
also the min.requirements for attic insulation being increased!
also the sales of hot tubs has drop.these are nice but do they eat up energy to run them.
