Interesting topic... considering we are almost to the middle of Summer right now. :heh:

All electric here... heating costs nearly $175 to $240 per month depending on how cold it is outside.

We just build a lil fire pit in the bottom of our igloo and keep it small so our house doesnt melt. Sometimes we burn polarbear poo but that tends to make everything have a lil odor. :P :heh:

200-250 gallons of #2 heating oil every 10-12 days.
200*$3.50*15(# of deliveries per winter)= 10K this coming up winter

But thats for heat and hot water. Oh and its a 6 Family apt building that was built in the late 1800's

:stupid: I'd guess that my bill averages around $140-150/month (which includes gas heat, cooking, drier, and hot water for a tri-level home (which means 2 roofs to lose heat through).

WOW...that's a lot of fuel. And if you check heating oil, it's up another buck per gallon lately.

Electric. About 80-100 in the winter but that includes everything electric like the stove, washer, dryer etc. In the summer I'm looking at 160-200 a month.

I assume its at $4ish now...should go down soon as its summer so theres no demand, and ill top up my 550gallon tank.

The geothermal unit has an electric backup, so I chose electric.

I haven't suffered a winter yet (hell, the air just came on 2 days ago) but I'm really looking forward to see how well it performs.

Thank goodness for living in a moderate climate. I have built- in electrical heating in my ceiling which is not very efficient and with a high ceiling, takes a long time to reach the human level. I have not used it and even have the circuit breaker turned off year round. My utility bill (not including heating water which is communal and included in my homeowners fees) runs me about $35 a month on my one bedroom condo.

That was true up until this year. Unfortunately oil is going up now in warm weather.

We're on budget billing ($130 per month) but I did see the highest month this winter was about $350 (natural gas).

Over the winter, it cost about $60-70 per month to heat a 2bedroom townhome.

As stupid as this sounds, if you want heat in your bedroom, move your pc into it. I have a computer running a AMD BE 2350 (i believe) which is a very cool running chip. I don't have a screaming huge graphics card, and I have a nice CPU cooler. my room is HOT. While I'm in there, I need both windows open often with a fan blowing out one of them, and the fan blows on me at night and I don't even use the blankets. I'm kind of looking forward to a toasty winter :)

I'm surprised no one's said "body heat" LOL. There is an "Other" tho. :P

That's because most people here are married and therefore don't have sex with their spouse anymore.

My house doesnt even have a heater. So I guess it is heated by "natural gases"....
