Sunday was the annual Rock and Roll Marathon- beginning in Balboa Park, running through many neighborhoods including downtown and as far north as Pacific Beach- ending in the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. Music of all sorts was played live all along the course and thousands took part. Probably the most fun you can have while trying to run 26 miles (if you seriously consider THAT to be your idea of fun!). I followed a lot of the course on my bicycle with my camera. This group shot was taken from the short bridge over Park Blvd behind the fountain area as the runners passed below.

People of all sizes, shapes, colors, and abillities challenged themselves on the course. One that really impressed me was this lady. According to her shirt, she is 83 years old and blind. The person in red behind her was helping her along the way. Wow!
