I've always wanted to watch someone eat a raw onion or a plantain.

Haha! That's exactly what came to my mind.

play taste test. they get blindfolded and keep trying stuff untill they get it right.

Generally we played with combos. like a prune stuffed with a pearl onion and ketchup.

I like how many of the suggestions are asian cuisine. Ha. Yeah century eggs are scary looking, but they taste pretty good, if extremely rich. (I agree, they're good in congee)

Limburger? Head cheese?

There's LOTS of gross stuff out there to choose from:

Scrapple, tongue, sweetbreads, pigs's feet, pig's ears, chicken feet, haggis, blood sausage, White Castle Hamburgers.

Maybe also go for hot & spicy? A spoonful of hot mustard or tabasco, or a raw habanero?

if you have a big chinese market near by, they'll have it there. i don't know where you're at, but a ranch 99 would have it.

That's the first thing that came to mind.

(aside from squirrel nuts.)

Melt some chocolate candybars into clean disposable diapers and roll them up like they're used. Then make them open and eat. Just don't tell them it's melted candybars...

Even when you KNOW it's just candy...some folk just can't stomach eating it out of a diaper.

a spoonful into cinnamon.

I saw this thread and was just about to suggest that. It's really not a scary thing to do, it's just impossible!! and funny to watch:hehehmm:

Because I want to be there when a leech attaches itself to the inside of someone's mouth.

or better yet... When someone swallows one.

So awesome.

I think the cinnamon just instantly dries up your mouth, making it impossible to swallow. The more you try, the worse it gets, and typically the person attempting it will eventually throw up from the effort. They also get really frustrated!

ha, i think durian is a good choice for two reasons, 1. it smells like vomit to a lot of people. 2. once you eat it, you smell like vomit to a lot of people ...

i tried some durian, and it was sweet. I liked it. but then, my throat started to close up, and i quickly found out I was allergic to it.

careful with food allergies on this fear factor thing.
