80% here, but I think I got screwed on one of them by a poorly worded question.

Happy 4th of July!

100%...

I'm in!

That's the first benefit to having been a Political Science major in about 20 years.

WOOHOO! 85%.
the 3 i got wrong, were the 3 i was unsure about and was going back and forth...

but... if msnbc published this, couldn't people that need to take the test the rest of the year be able to cheat now?

And I would love it if EVERY single person who's on the "kick the illegals out of the country" side of the camp HAD to take this to maintain their citizen-ship. If they can't, they can stay as an legal, but stupid alien with substandard rights....
(yeah, i know... it goes against what the constitution said, but they piss me off) (uhoh, i hope i didn't make this a political thread now)

haha, worst so far, 80%!! Past presidents holds a warm memory for me. Junior year of high school the extra credit on the final was to name every president since Lincoln, as well as the years they served. I got every one right except for Harding- I put "Harden" instead, since that was our teachers name and I was so used to hearing it. My pleas and negotiations proved fruitless. I still got 102% :-)

90%. Not bad. I was going back and forth on the two I got wrong. I'd be surprised if anyone on these boards did all that bad. Most of you seem to know your stuff. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the average American struggled to get a 50%.

I'm pretty sure this is only a few sample questions from the real test. If this is the whole test, than yes, every one could get 100.

And how does knowing some facts about our country prove you are a citizen or not? Many of the people fighting for our country over seas may have barely gotten through high school and would get a very low score on this stuff because they weren't big history majors. That doesn't make them any less patriotic. In fact, if people are out there fighting for our country, i think that makes them more patriotic.

Not to sound political. ;) But i'd say we send any illegal aliens who wish to become citizens into boot camp and have them serve in the military for 3 years. That would solve our short number of recruits and prove people's patriotism. :)
Kind of like feeding stray dogs to homeless people. 2 birds, 1 stone!

Its not about being less patriotic by not knowing this stuff. Its about wankers who complain about immigrants (which we all descend from, even the american indians) and showing them that they know less about their country then the immigrants do, which IMO is a sad state of affairs.

A few issues...
1. They are here to make money to send home to their families...not sure how much the military pays, but I wouldnt be surprised if it were less then working in fields,

2. Id rather have people who *want* to be in the military

3. That would be a really easy way for our "enemies" to infiltrate our military (stealing weapons, secrets, etc...)

Recruit others to fight your wars for you like the French Foreign Legion?

We know most of the answers because we have lived here and were taught this things in school and picked some up through the media. How many similar questions could you answer correctly about other countries? Canada? Mexico? Britain? Germany? Can you name all the present leaders of those countries?

If you like, here are some more sample questions (self grading on these- answers are towards the bottom):
