i'm thinking about buying a lappy, and this one caught my eye. I usually don't buy from electronic box stores like bestbuy, but i think this is a pretty good deal. what do y'all think about it? good for the price? or u think i could get a better deal somewhere else.

actually....i called a few stores around the area, and they have it =) booyah! so i'm quite happy about that. it's a pretty nice lappy, i haven't opened it yet, i'm gonna wait to see if i find any other deals better than this one, if i do...return! =)

Have a look at the Dell Outlet. That's an Inspiron 1525, and I've seen them as cheap as $379 in the outlet before.

yah, the cheapest one on the outlet with the spec of the one at bestbuy is 575, and it's scratch and dent. so i'll fork out the extra $24 bucks for a new one i guess.

at that price how could you go wrong? there was a time not too long ago that you couldn't get a decent laptop for under $1500.

-upgraded sound
-dedicated video card
-800mhz system bus compared to the 667mhz bus on dell

cons.
-50 gb less hdd space

middle.
AMD cpu compared to the Intel CPU
of course the amd cpu is a turion

so i finally opened up the lappy. and lo and behold, bestbuy made a mistake!! and i benefited!!! they gave me the new model of the dell 1525!!! i was thinking i was buying the old model, but they gave me a new one instead of the old one. woo hooo!!! thinner lappy, better multimedia buttons, newer design. thats the only thing different. which is really nice. (oh yeah, and i got it for $100 less than list price) hehehe thx best buy!
