Ok, my girlfriend and I liked to use Verizon's vtext as a way to type in messages instead of typing them on the phone. Works great actually. But, today I switched to AT&T. She's not happy that she actually has to type them into the phone :) Anyone know of a good website to do something like that? What I want is:
Type in text message to web site --> sent to my phone
I reply --> sent to her phone
Most of them I seem to have found are want to route replies back through the service, but to keep the messages in conversation style I'd rather have it work like above.

every service provider has their version of emailable SMS domains, just like verizon's vtext. some googling brings up this page (http://incoherentbabble.com/2008/01/26/att-txt-via-email-address/), which says that at&t's method is to email:
[email protected]
try it out.

yup. when you register any of those online services, use the phone's texting email address as the source. that should work.
Coincidentally, I'm just checking out callwave today. www.callwave.com could be an alternative.

Simply address a regular email to your recipient’s mobile phone number at the Teleflip domain (e.g.
[email protected]) and voila! In seconds your message is delivered to their cell phone—anywhere.

After I read your post earlier, I tried their T-Mobile service and while I got the email confirmation, I still haven't gotten the text on my phone. Weird.
