Very hard to find. My co-worker snagged one online at CC. 10 minutes later it was all gone.

Nintendo must be jumping for joy right about now...

They've pegged "supply and demand" to optimize their desired profits.

A number of industries operate within the law of supply and demand: "We control the supply so we can get the price we demand." :hihi:

I know creating controlled shortages is a common tactic to generate demand in the gaming console industry, but i wonder how that is beneficial when the shortage isn't really causing the price to increase. Regardless of the stock, people will be paying $250 when they eventually get their hands on one. Of course you'll find ridiculous prices on eBay and such, but that doesn't benefit Nintendo. Is it simply a psychological tactic? Do people find the console more desirable because it is hard to get? Would a person who is on the fence about buying a console be more likely to buy it this way?

I got mine at Best Buy, and I've only seen them one other time ever, and that was two units in Target. Apparently, Wii Fit is just as hard/harder to find than a Wii now.

Mine shipped out Friday, should be here on Tuesday.

If I buy WiiFit for my wife, am I gonna get slapped?
