I'd love to be in again this year, I placed 3rd last year. School and work is going to be tough as it is. :sad:

But, maybe I can just enjoy as Dallas takes the NFC. ;)

Ok, it is all setup. I set the draft for 16 August at 5 pm PDT. I am willing to change this if people need/want to have it changed. I have the league limited to 10 people and I used the default point structure with a few bonus tweaks (e.g. RB gets bonus points for breaking 100 yds, etc...). I am leaving everything up to consensus, so if you want something changed then you have to speak up. :)

The only change I would suggest is making the 1st bonus for rushing at 120 yards instead of 100. Either that or lowering the 1st bonus for receiving since it is more difficult to have a 100 yard day receiving than rushing.

One other thing. If you can push the draft back another week or two, that's always a good thing. It's always a bummer to lose one of your stars to an injury in the preseason if you have the draft too early.

Two weeks would put it in the middle of Labor day weekend; I decided against that before selecting the current draft date. The weekend of the 22nd I will be climbing Mt Fuji, so for selfish reasons, I would prefer it not to be that weekend. If a majority of people prefer it to be that weekend I'll change the draft date to that weekend. I will get one of my friends to draft for me if need be. We could also have it during the week. I wasn't sure if that was an option with all of our temporal differences (e.g. different time zones, working hours, etc...). Let me know what everyone prefers. I am flexible, open for suggestions, and willing to make anything work. :)

Good call on no labor day and, if I were you, I wouldn't set the draft at a time that you couldn't make it.

I can do a draft during the week if that works for others. If not we'll be okay with the current schedule. I'm either in eastern or central depending on the week but can stay up a bit later for one evening if that works with everyone else's schedule.

I was wrong - we have 9 people. One more would make it an even 10. We need to decide if we are going to have the draft this weekend or during the week some other time. Please voice your opinion by Thursday night Pacific Time. If you want it during the week tell me what days work best for you and what time (please specify time zone) too! I'll try and map something out that fits all of our schedules.

Weeknight drafts are much preferred to weekend (unless it's am, but I'm in CST so early for me is REALLY early for you guys.) :)

I'd be willing to stay up late-ish if we wanted to start at say 9p your time. That'd probably put me to bed around 1a or so.

How does everyone feel about an 8 pm EDT start time during a weekday? That would make it 5 pm PDT which might be cutting it a little close. We could do 9 pm EDT (6 PM PDT). Let me know - I need some input or I am just going to go with what works best for Prngr44 and I. ;) Also, I need to know what day of the week works best.

I can delay the draft for a week or so if we want to but I do not want to jerk everyone around. I think I would prefer to have 10 but I would also prefer that a few people weigh in on this before a change is made. (Sorry for the delayed response, it is only ~8:30 am here in Japan)

Ok, I decided, without input, to delay the draft. I hope this does not irritate anyone. I moved the draft to Wednesday, Aug 27 at 6:30 pm PDT. There weren't a ton of slots open and I tried to make it work for everyone. Let me know if this time is not going to work for you and what times/dates would be better. Please remember that this draft is going to be a LIVE draft.

I cannot believe it either. We have 24 more hours to find a 10th person.

I had to update the draft time/date because the Yahoo system keeps reverting to "autopick draft" from "Live draft". I think we all want a Live draft, so I had to delay the draft by 24 hrs in order to change the draft type. This is at least the 3rd time I have selected and submitted "Live draft" on the Yahoo system. Twice the system has reverted to autopick. I e-mailed Yahoo once to let them know their system is a little buggy.

I am 99% sure that we can draft without having a 10th person and the points earned for the week will be added into your season total but you will not receive a win for that week.

Edit: VTGreg - you are right. We cannot have a live draft unless we have a 10th person. Is there anyone who played last year who isn't in for this year? The system keeps switching the draft back to autopick because we do not have 10 people.

Edit: I changed the draft time to 7:30 PM PDT (10:30 PM EDT) because a member of the league asked for the change to be made, so they could participate in the live draft.

Interesting.... I was in first place after Monday night's game but they adjusted the scoring for Seattle's D and gave them another 6 points for a TD, which ripped victory from hands.

That sucks...

I know - I had the opposite feeling. I thought I had won our game until I saw the score after MNF and I was thinking to myself - how did I do the math wrong? Later that evening (Tuesday evening here, Tuesday morning EDT) I saw that I won. Then I looked and Yahoo credited Seattle's D with a TD. At first they said the D did not score the TD because the D recovered the fumble and then fumbled it and then recovered their own fumble in the end zone. Yahoo considered it an offensive TD for some illogical reason but later they realized the error in their ways and credited it to the D.

BTW - I guess that reverse VT mojo worked! ;)
