So....the mom-in-law gave us some fresh basil a little bit ago and it's starting to wilt so I'm wanting to use it. Any suggestions? I was thinking some kind of basil rub on chicken and saute it with some tomatoes, onions and garlic?
Yes? No? Suggestions?

If you want an easy pasta dish:
boil the pasta of your choice, add lots of kosher salt to the water
In a pan add 1/2 cp of olive oil
chop 1 sweet onion
chop fine 3 cloves of garlic
two pinches of red chili flakes
and cook over medium low until onions are carmelized and garlic are light brown.
Add cherry tomatoes, and pasta.
Add fresh basil, toss, and add parm cheese.

I'd like to try this. Do you really need half a cup of oil?

If you have a ton of it, try some fresh pesto. Yum! That's what I'm going to do with my dozen or so plants.

No, Basically I would go with just enough to coat the pasta, so you really have to eyeball it. I usually use about a 1/2 cup when I make about 1.25 pounds of pasta.
