Ok, so I'm venting. I don't get this APA thing, (or I'm slow at it). I spent all week researching and the last 10 hours typing out my paper. Then I decide to make sure all is well and I see several sites on the web that say "No Bullets on APA format". Arrrgh!
This sucks since this $30 book doesn't have anything about it and the instructor didn't mention anything. So I have to go and redo everything.
It only sucks because I type like 33 WPM @ 97%. :(

$30 Book?! Holy cheapness! My books so far were each over $100. Haven't purchased the other two yet.

Well I got the APA publication manual 2001 5th ED. from Amazon. Actually it was about $28 with shipping. All other texts are online. Well except the Gregg Reference and I haven't found that one yet.
I bet your classes were way less expensive though, where are you attending?

Oklahoma City Community College right now, until I transfer to Oklahoma University, but yeah not that expensive. $83 per credit hour. Although expensive compared to coming from California where the community college credits are $20 an hour (Subsidized by the state.)

I'm sure a Boarder's would have something you could sit down and read for free. I'm with you though, that situation makes me tear my hair out.

yah, i posted my hatred for apa a few week ago. I've been doing MLA all through highschool and college, and now my grad school wants me to do APA style. and it's like riding a bike again.
I use this site http://www.citationmachine.net/index.php?reqstyleid=2 to help me cite references. it has saved me mucho...lemme tell you.

Thanks for the link.
I got through my first paper. Took some time but I think I'm getting the hang of APA.
I am using APA Perlla so it makes it easier. Just hated wasting all those hours. :disa:
