any new shows I should be on the look out for this year? I've got my eye on eleventh hour right now, partially because it comes on right after CSI, which id be watching anyway, and mainly because it stars rufus sewell, who ive been following ever since i saw him in dark city..anything else?

Fringe.

I'm not a big 'Lost' fan, but this seems more up my alley.

Rant:
House is on right before Fringe. I have Tivo'd both of them. I've selected the 'On Time' feature which means, when the show is supposed to show (8:00pm - 9:00pm for House, 9:00pm - 10pm for Fringe) it will record. Bastards at FOX decided they were going to make BOTH shows run over their time slots. So my House recording was cut off by my Fringe recording (luckily got to see it), and my Fringe recording was completely cutoff.

STOP BEING ****ING CUTE FOX. LET ME WATCH MY SHOW!

indeed...eleventh hour and the mentalist were going to be my two for sure adds this season...eleventh hour sticks out a little more for me, but i think both will be excellent.

I've never watched too many TV shows, mostly movies. I've recently decided to start watching some TV and after browsing the current lineup i figured i'd try out "fringe" due to the JJ Abrams hype, and since it's just starting and i don't have to do any catching up. besides, sci-fi is totally up my alley.

i probably shouldn't judge a whole show by its pilot, but i was extremely underwhelmed. maybe i'm just too used to movies and not used to the slow pacing of a series, but it felt like for the time i spent sitting there, there was just too little gained. and while trying to mix up dead-serious plot elements with intermittent comic reliefs, it seemed like the show didn't reach critical mass in either category. and the subject matter seemed like stuff that has been dealt with ad nauseam in other shows/movies. i'll definitely give it a couple more viewings, but if it things don't start getting more original, edgier or funnier, i'm going back to sitcoms. at least i can hope for a good laugh.

Meh, I don't have HD at home, so it's no real big loss there.

Yes, it's on hulu. I've actually been catching up on old Bones episodes I didn't get to see.

Unrelated:
Just bought Dexter season 2 and Grey's Anatomy S1 for the wife.

i've been disappointed in fringe.

watched mentalist last night...it was okay, and i think with some improvement it will be on my tivo for the remainder of the season.

if anybody else actually watched knight rider, do you feel like putting a brick through your tv as well?

i'm really excited for CSI: Vegas premiere in a couple weeks.

oh, and NCIS premier was pretty solid.

24 2-hour special in November. Flower Power Bauer invades washington DC. mwahaha

House - Tops
Heroes - I watch it but it's on thin ice.
Chuck - I liked the first season better but the girl is hot.
My Own Worst Enemy - Better than I thought...it's like Chuck but less on the funny and more on the action.
Fringe - X-Files replacement without as much humor or chagrin.

I don't watch much else.
