I had to have a pacemaker replaced and the doctor switched the leads ( did not hook them up correctly). It was eventually corrected. How long would it take to cause damage to my heart muscle? The rep from the St. Jude failed to check the machine and the doctor's work so it was not caught before they sewed me up. He offered to take my husband to dinner for the trouble it caused. Oh, you mean the hemmoraging or the fact that I felt them sewing me up?
Then less than a year later they tell me I need a defibrillator. Another 50k.
I can not get an attorney in the small town I am in to take my case. It is a heavy mormon community in Utah. What should I do? It took me ONE YEAR to get a copy of my medical records. The hospital says they want their money and I have less than one year left before the statute of limitations runs out in this state. St. Jude did not return my calls, the doctor retired, and I am feeling really ****ed over.
I wish someone could help me.

you have more of a legal question then a medical one. If you are interested in tbebmefical side let me know. I have a few close relatives who actually work in R&D making fhosc devices. I would go after a high profile attorney in this case. Either way good luck!!!!

Hey fellow Utahn! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Have you considered calling Bob DeBry? http://www.robertdebry.com/our-attorneys/ I see his commercials all over the TV.
