They're a good team, but I think the Rays are even stronger. Could be a fun WS though.

Even better..they are the National League champions.

More importantly, Manny will not be in the World Series. Now I feel ok about the Red Sox going down to Tampa. He can spend his offseason wondering where he'd be now if he stayed...

I don't think it matters to Manny....the man is going to get paid after the job he did for the Dodgers. Especially now that Scott Boras(s) is his agent.

It matters to me, dammit.

They are only one game away from the World Series champs. Man..that would really be nice if they wrapped it up tonight.

....and now it's rain delayed at the bottom of the 6th; 2-2 ballgame right now.

It's a good thing that the Rays tied it in the 6th. That would have sucked to call the game after 5 because of the rain. Could have been the worst end to a World Series ever.

and the forecast for tomorrow is a 80% chance of rain...

Selig already came out and said they wouldn't have called the game even if the Phils were winning. They would have picked the game up the following the night the way they are doing it now.

Actually a very smart move. I'm glad to see that they will let this thing get decided the right way. Hopefully the rain can hold off so they can get the rest of the game in tonight.

Oh cool. That was smart.

Wow...so that's what happens to a team with a good bullpen and a flawless closer. Izzy, are you taking notes?

Congratulations Philly! I didn't think you guys had a shot against the speed of Tampa.

It was crazy around this area last night. Streets blocked off , constant hoorahs and fireworks.

It was the first pennant for Philly in 28 years.

I'd like to say that it's 2 former Astros who helped with this....*sigh*

And for those wondering: Bruntlett scored the go-ahead run and Lidge closed it out. I'm happy for those guys....especially Lidge. The guy is a class act and I'm glad he's successful again.
