Didn't we just do this one a little while ago?

Anyway, I'm a macintosh man. Not the computer, but the green and red apples with the white spots.

I'm a big fan of Honeycrisps, but Fiji's are also way up there on my list of apples.

I find that the golden deliciouses (heh) that I lay my hand on tend to be really soft once you bite into them. I just prefer an apple with a good crunch.

They can get that way when they get a little older. Golden delicious are crunchy when they're fresh and not over ripened. Mmmmm.. my favorite... soft yellow color, speckled like a strawberry, starting to turn golden red on the side where the sun shines them... juicy, sweet.. mmm..... my favorite apple, especially right off the tree.

Every Saturday we have a farmers market in a church parking lot here in town. The church sells out of its homemade cider doughnuts around 10am, so you have to get there early if you want to buy (at max) 6. That said, the farmers market has apple growers from all over the Midwest come and sell tons of apples (in season of course.) I like to pick up a fresh jonagold for about 10cts pull out my pocket knife and eat a slice along with a fresh doughnut and coffee. Jonagolds, and most sweet and tart apples, go good with weak cheeses like cheddar, jack, or provolone. Well I cant help it, but i have to say that i like pears and cheese too.:thumb:

Nate, I think you should try the ones from our back yard tree, I believe they are called Golden Haralson, and they seem to keep longer than Golden Delicious. The tree doesn't have any this year, but maybe next year.
