I think a few weeks ago was a hot deal on the deal paige, something like $99 for a 1TB external. Are there any deals around like that?

I haven't seen 1 TB external hard drives for less than $100 even with rebates, but they are rapidly dropping, especially since the 1.5 TB and 2 TB drives are dropping in price. Give it another month. I think the bad economy will force the prices down by then.
If I see anything, I will post it here.
ecost.com sometimes has refurb drives fairly cheap, but they charge around $10 for shipping.

Not too shabby, considering no tax and free shipping and no rebates. $119.99

Nice deal. I might pick one up myself. For comparison and review:

Doesn't have a fan though so plan accordingly. 30 day warranty too :( I'm having second thoughts.

Thanks for the heads up, I just went to order it, but it's out of stock, I am on their autonotify list.
*** EDIT***I just checked the rebate process, it's ridiculous, the hardest I ever saw. REGISTER ONLINE, GET A CLAIM ID THAT MUST BE ON THE ENVELOPE. ALONG WITH THE USUAL UPC CODE AND RECEIPT AND SERIAL #. GET THIS MOVE... To receive your rebate money properly, you should verify the rebate informaion online from 1/7/09 to 2/4/09
Rebate is void after this time frame.
SO TO GET THE REBATE YOU MUST REMEMBER TO REGISTER ONLINE, MAKE A CALL TO THEM IN ABOUT 3 MONTHS FROM NOW OR IT'S VOID. THE STUPIDEST REBATE I EVER SAW. Here is the link to the rebate... http://images10.newegg.com/uploadfilesfornewegg/rebate/SH/Cavalry22-101-121Oct24Oct2608lh15US.pdf
