For those of you who do PC support, either formally (meaning you make a living at it) or informally (meaning you're the "go-to" person for family/friends), good remote access software is a must.
Lee Mathews over at Download Squad posted about a new app called Ammyy Admin (http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/11/06/ammyy-admin-is-a-free-teamviewer-alternative-for-remote-support/) which does a good job of this.
I've been playing with it this evening, and I really like it. No installation, port forwarding or blowing holes in the firewall are required, and you can even use your own server if you've got one.
It's freeware, too...
I've been using ShowMyPC (http://showmypc.com/) for this, and I've used CrossLoop (http://www.crossloop.com/) (which requires installation), but Ammyy Admin (http://www.ammyy.com/en/index.html) looks like it'll be my new favorite.
