Hey everyone -
A couple of weeks ago I scored a great deal for an ipod touch on craigslist ($150 for 16GB plus Bose headphones - woot!)
So now I'm looking for some good apps.. I'm actually using it as a PDA (got rid of my Axim), so looking for recommendations on any good productivity tools, and of course decent games!
Also, what's the advantage to jailbreaking it?
Thanks!

My favorites:
Todo (for a todo list)
FieldRunners (Tower defense type game)
poptiq is kinda fun
Linkedin
Fring (Im, but doesn't keep you logged in)
AOL Radio
Simplify Media
Lux Touch
PhotoSwap is kinda fun
Google Earth
Those are the ones I have that I think are actually kinda cool

I also recently acquired an iPhone (by surprise) and have been looking around for good apps. I'm trying to keep the device as light as possible but only installing very good and usefull apps. So far I have:
shazam - hold the iphone up to any music source and it'll recognize the song title/artist
city transit - NYC subway database
NYTimes
Pandora
Yelp (local restaurant reviews)
I don't have them but I've heard an app called "Air Sharing" is really good. Check it out.
I haven't done it yet, but Jailbreaking allows you to install a lot of apps that haven't been approved for the apple store. Some cool ones include custom iPhone/iPod skins and themes. But if there is one reason to jailbreak it would be:

But it was just announced that there would be an official way to achieve internet tethering soon through an official app through AT&T. Probably not for free though.

Thanks for the tips, guys!
Yeah, the tethering feature would be GREAT for you iPhone guys. I've got a Blackjack that supports tethering & I use it all the time - more than I thought I would.
Hey, does anyone know that Windows Mobile game 'bubbles'? Is there an equivilant for the Touch? That's really the only app I miss off of my old Axim...
