Just give (http://hr.blr.com/news.aspx?id=78865) the pilots (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C0CE6D9113CF932A1575BC0A966958260) a breathalyzer test (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0CWU/is_2001_Jan_22/ai_69388695) before they take off.

You won't have any problems. They do charge for everything but just about every airline does, which in my opinion sucks. NW could use some attitude training for their flight attendants.

I fly Northwest all the time, and they're not any better or worse than the others out there.

However, things they charge for now:

- Checked bags. I believe it's $25/bag unless you're an Elite member
- Snacks - you still get a drink & a tiny bag of pretzels, but if you want a decent snack you have to pay - about $2-5 depending on what you want
- Good seats - you can pay extra to sit in an exit row if you want
