I was due to get DSl on Dec. 20 last year but I found out that essential.com decided that they were my local service provider when I only approved them as my long distance carrier and although I should've noticed the lack of "BellAtlantic-Verizon" local service bill I figuired that the charge on my CC was inclusive of my original local service.... But Nooooo!
So after about a week of BS from Earthlink they notified me of their mistake when they said "You are linked" when there was no possible way that I could have been.
I made the move back to the local monopoly of "Ma Bell" and waited......... and got my DSL connected and now it still doesn't work for some other odd reason so I'll wait another week or so !
And you know what pisses me off more than anything ?!?!?
That frigging extra 2 minutes to boot my system since I put this STUPID ETHERNET CARD IN MY COMPUTER !!!!!!

No worry. My friend had that kind of problem with Flashcom for 6 months when DSL just came out. Finally when they solved the problem, he moved to other place and have PacBell's cable service.

Oh that's encouraging , You mean I might be as lucky as your friend and have my DSL up and running by the last week in June ?
If it takes that long I mind as well start thinking of moving to an area that has functional high speed internet access :(
6 Months ? $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, $4!+, And May I add $4!+ !

Good.. at least I'm not the only person that has the added 2 minute wait when the computer is booting up.. It's never done that with any other ethernet card.. only with an ethernet card designed for DSL modems..
