website monitoring

Any reccomendations for some free website monitoring programs? looking for a program that checks a website constantly till there is a content change and then it alerts you... if that makes sense :)

it sounds like he wants a different type of monitoring. something that will perhaps check a retailer's page, and see if an item goes from not available to available.

if you tell us what you're specifically looking at, and what you want to see change, there might be something there that's monitoring that.

Thats exactly what I need :) ... Something to tell me when an item becomes available... I figure that means content change... is there anything available like that?

Close, but i was more interested in something that will basically ping a specific website and alert me when it changes.
