Well Oklahoma showed Texas Tech what they thought of their ranking :) Was a fun game to watch for any Sooner fan!

There were a lot of ass-whoopins handed out today in the college football ranks.

Gongrats! Your guys rocked them up and down the field. I thought going for it on 4th down from the 1-2 yard-line towards the end of the game might have been a bit overboard...but,you gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Well I don't know that they were really trying to run up the score. It was one of those situations where theres nothing to lose, and you might as well. For one, they are dependent on the voters to get past Texas, since they lost to them earlier in the season, so Margin of Victory can't hurt.

But really it was a matter of, kicking the 3 would also be "running up the score." Also if they lost it on downs, it put Tech on the 1-2 yard line which would have been a hole hard to dig out of without a bad call on Harris.

So now you have the confusion as to who gets to go to the Big12 championship against Misouri. Oklahoma beats Texas Tech who beat Texas who beat Oklahoma who beat Texas Tech, etc. They all have just the one loss to each other. I think that the only reason Tech beat Texas was that Texas was tired- they had played four straight teams who were ranked in the Top Five or so just prior to that game. I would have to say that OU seems to be the better team right now. My losers (this year) at Colorado will probably play their last game of the year on Friday against Nebraska. Must win if they have any hopes of a bowl game (and I don't think we deserve one!). A very impressive victory for the Sooners who moved ahead of Texas in the polls. I'd like to see Florida play Oklahoma- that could be a war!

Well after Oklahoma plays OSU if they beat them, it will be Oklahoma - easily decided if OU kills OSU. As the BCS Ranking decides who plays in the Big12 Championship.

Whoever ranks higher on BCS will go to the Big12 championship game if those three teams are tied.

Yeah, which means all OU needs to do is win against OSU. A Convincing win will make it easier, but a Win should do. If they lose, then Texas Tech of all teams goes, as long as they beat Baylor.

No Texas is currently ranked higher (2nd) than both OU (3rd) & TT (7th).

If OU beats OSU convincingly, it might jump Texas in BCS ranking.

Haha.. Oklahoma State.

An interesting scenario would be .. Florida loses to Florida State (most likely not going to happen) .. Florida Beats Alabama.. Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State- goes to Big12 Champ and wins against Missouri.. Oklahoma and Texas Rematch in the National Championship.. haha.. Unlikely scenario but would be interesting.

And Bach - It's pretty much a guarantee if OU BEATS OSU it will jump Texas, as they are only .1 or so back from them, and OSU ranked #12 will add to their Strength of Schedule.. While Texas plays A&M which is 4-8 and will NOT add to their Strength.

It is likely but will depend more on what the pollsters do than SOS and the computer rankings. If OU is impressive they could widen their lead in the polls, where OU is currently ranked #2, but if they struggle UT could pick up votes and offset any gains OU would see in the computer polls.

Style points will play a huge role this weekend.

Too bad for OSU (Ohio State not Okie State) because if they would have made it and OU made it then maybe OSU could have actually won a NC this year.
