Dear T-Mobile Customer,
Thank you for ordering the T-Mobile @Home® Linksys router. Due to high demand, this router is currently out of stock.
We will be upgrading your order and shipping you the T-Mobile @Home® HiPort™ router instead. You should receive your order on or before Tuesday, December 23. We’ll send you an e-mail once your order has shipped, so you’ll know it’s on its way.
We thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
Sincerely,
T-Mobile Customer Care

I was just wondering the same thing. I'm guessing it's really a downgrade and will probably cancel the order.
Anybody else know?

it looks like it's getting more on ebay but i don't know if that's just because of the extra stuff.

All of the reviews and discussion I've been able to find revolves around the voip portion, which I don't want to use. It seems the model number is WRTU54G.
I'm still tempted to cancel, unless I can find something that makes me think this will actually be a good router.

Totally depends....
If you bought it to flash it with DD-WRT (http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/WRT54G-TM), then you got shafted - this one can't be flashed.
If you just bought it to have a cheap wireless router, it'll work fine.

since i don't have any idea what you're talking about, i don't think i'm planning on doing that. :hihi:

Yeah, this was my main reason for getting this. Looks like newegg has the WRT350N for $90 right now. It's certainly more money, but adds wireless N and a USB port, so I can put a network drive on it. And it's flashable with DD-WRT. May have to get that instead.

I just called T-Mobile to cancel my order, and they said it already shipped with the "upgraded" router!
Guess I'll have to refuse the package.
