hey guys

the girl and i are looking at getting a new car.

1) we found a new 2008 Honda CR-V EX-L with all the bells (except Nav) for $26k. Pretty much got it at employee pricing and know they are willing to negotiate. we can probably get the 3.9% for 60 months.

2) i'm interested in a 2008 or 2009 mazda3 wagon grand touring. mazda has a 2.9% promo, no payments until march 2009, and $500 back. and it's listed <$25k.

i know both cars are in different classes. any input (pros/cons) of either car? we're looking to buy before the end of the year.

thanks! :)

what are the actual numbers you're getting?

also, i've had awesome pricing going through costco helping my girl get her new car.

Huh, prices are a bit high but I assume that's because you're "in the middle of the pacific ocean"

I made you a comparison

Mazda gets better MPG has a better power to weight ratio, is almost just as long but a bit shorter (head room). That's the way I would go.

I've heard of people getting the Subaru WRX STi brand new with all the rebates and everything for about the same price as that CRV in the comparison, and you'll still get a hatchback, just a *little* more power than the Mazda, while keeping the AWD of the CRV. My 2c

well, we got the 2008 CR-V EX-L for about $1000 under invoice, but due to my girl's trade-in with a balance, we have to pay a little more. but did get the 3.9% due to my good credit.

and we love it!
