Ok, I "won" it in the fact I was the high bidder at a charity auction.
Jennie-O (Hormel's turkey division) is based in my town. They donated this to a fundraiser auction. Basically, we get to select two cases of any Jennie-O product every month. I did some calculating, and figured it maxes out at about 1,000 lbs of turkey products, with a retail value up to $7,500.
The winning bid? Only $425.
I think nobody was bidding because that's a humungous amount of meat. Far too much for any normal sized family. However it's perfect for us!
