The new OS is pretty nice looking and the phone is pretty fast.

IMHO Palm is going to turn around with this phone release.

I like Palm. Yes it was stale but it did what it did and it did it well. It was a like calculator. It had a job to do and it did it. I was going to jump from Sprint to ATT but now I might have to wait around a while and see how Sprint will screw the pooch on this one.

I'll get this when it comes out. But I'm on Sprint

I hear a lot of bad about Palm. Maybe this one will be better.

I've never used a Palm so I don't have any personal opinions. I have a curve and bold. I guess I have a particular preference to Blackberrys.

I would get this if I werent ATT.. I like that it has a QWERTY Keyboard.. thats what I wanted them to add to the Iphone, a popout real keyboard.. not that onscreen crap.

Currently I have a Palm Treo 650

I'm sure the other providers will get a version shortly after sprint. Palm isn't tied just to sprint.

Not in the US since Sprint has the exclusive right (don't know for how long).

The GSM version will be released elsewhere in the world at the same time as the CDMA version is released for Sprint.

Here's Palm's answer (from this PC Magazine (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2338583,00.asp) article:

Will other U.S. carriers get the Pre?
At least 90 days after Sprint does, but maybe as much as 6 months later.
