wireless keyboard mouse ?

anyone know of a wireless comb unit that has a longer range then 6-8 ft from the receiver. i have a client who has there computer attached to there lcd tv in there living room .and they want to use there mouse and keyboard while on there couch that is like 12 to 15 ft away from the screen . there not gaming just checking email and web surfing and they are able to read the screen from the couch now .but the microsoft 3000 wireless combo will not sent signal that far away .and i called microsoft only to be told there wireless range was 6-8 ft.

I purchased the Logitech LX 710 recently (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard_mice_combos/devices/147&cl=US,EN) and am very happy with it.

I tested the keyboard range and was able to type in the next room (about 12-15 feet, through a wall) without a problem. Haven't tried out the mouse's range yet, but, the package comes with a USB extender and a mini dock for the wireless receiver which allows you to place it in an optimal spot to extend your range.

when you can let me know about the mouse -i dont want to sell them on another unit till i know it work for them. or they have a very good probablity of it working. (also im not wanting to have to eat it if it don't.

I just tested out the mouse and it got a bit sketchy at longer distances (8-10 feet or so)

I use bluetooth keyboard and mouse for my HTPC. I've tried a couple RF wireless, but they just don't have the distance that bluetooth does.
