Gotta love it! I am so glad that the Steelers came out on top! I thought it was a great game overall.
I did think the commercials were weak!

I have to agree with you guiseppewv! It was a really good game...even though the I was going for the Cardinals it was an entertaining game to watch and came down right to the wire. That run back after the interception ending being really important for the Steelers.

I'm not a big football fan, but the game had me at the edge of my seat throughout the whole last quarter. Great game!

Super Game, I was going for the Cards, but man the INT run back was killer, but that last catch.... awesome. It was a thing or beauty. The cards have nothing to be ashamed about.

Okay, it was a halfway decent game. What the frick was that pass before the half.
And what a waste of a halftime show. :puke:

What did you all think about the commercials? I, personally, thought they were weak. There were a few good ones but mostly just weak ones.

how could they not review the "fumble" at the end???? i was told they did but didn't hear anything to that effect.

They didn't stop the game to review it. Michaels said the booth took a look at it but determined it was a fumble and didn't warrant a review.
I too was surprised they didn't stop the game to review it.
It was a good game. I was disappointed that the Cardinals didn't win it especially since I thought they really outplayed the Steelers after the 1st quarter. I thought the officiating detracted from the game because of all the penalties called.
The commercials weren't all that great but considering the state of the economy that isn't all that surprising.

it felt to me like the officials thought the game was basically over and they didn't want to bother doing it correctly.
i'm sure the cardinals would have like to have had another shot at the endzone with fitz and warner.

terribly officiated game. the cards had to use two challenges to fix calls against them. i'm not saying the steelers wouldn't have otherwise won, but dang.....

I was rooting for the Cards. I thought the officiating was horrible and pro-Steelers for sure. The interception was a back breaker but the Cards mounted a great comeback. They made it an exciting Super Bowl game to watch. The ads were bad and I haven't been able to track down those 3d glasses anywhere.

According to Vegas the Cards won! :D
I'll echo the other comments; great game, crappy commercials. I didn't watch the halftime show at all.

See that's what I was thinking initially but then I was thinking, what does the price of a commercial have to do with the quality of it? Budweiser had a bunch of commercials and to me they seemed pretty lame. It shouldn't cost millions of dollars to come up with a funny premise. Give me $500 and I'll write a better commercial than half of those that aired yesterday.
it was a good game, much closer than most Steelers fans thought it would be (if i had to guess). I was cheering for the Cardinals simply because the Steelers knocked my Chargers out of the playoffs :(

Good game but I am with Cheapie and VT the game seem lopsided with the officiating. Every time the Cards did something it just happened to be holding or some other penatly. Look how lopsided the calling was until the 4th quarter. To not take the extra few to appease all to review the play was just stupid. Also why was the Steelers guy not penalized for using the ball as a prop? Why was the Steelers guy who basically hit the Cards guy on the ground not thrown out? Horrible group of officials. BTW I normally dont say anything about officiating beucase I ref and know how hard it is and can only imagine, but the appearance during the game sure made it seem slanted to the Steelers. I was rooting for the Cards but could care a less. It was a fitting ending for a season that was troubled by bad calls. Oh well life goes on. On to cycling season. :) :) :)

I was telling my wife I should bet on the Cards plus over before the kickoff. Cards plus 7 over 47 = $$ Win

I had to work and missed 99% of it. I was on my dinner break for the most important part- I had heard that the Steelers were ahead most of the game but when I turned it on they were trailing and not much time left. I remembered how Arizona came back against Philly after being pretty far behind and thought they might do it again but the Steelers came up with an amazing drive to clinch it. Great finish! I would agree that there definately was a fumble at the end (the ball was out by the time his arm was going forewards). Probably the biggest play was the interception for a touchdown- that was probably a fourteen point swing- Pittsburgh getting a TD instead of the Cards. Otherwise they might not have even had the shot they did at the end of the game. I obviously cannot comment on the officiating during the game.
I missed the commercials- or more accurately did not see them. I did check out the YouTUbe of the halftime show and thought it was great. A very energetic performance by Springsteen which had the place rocking. The third song slowed it down a bit. The vids of it are being taken down by YouTube about as fast as they get posted (the NFL owns the copyright). His albums over the last decade or so have been fairly boring but he puts on an amazing four hour plus live show.

I saw the whole thing and loved, well, all of it. As a fan of comebacks I was nailbiting the 4th quarter! It was a great game playing-wise. The commercials, well, hit and miss. The halftime show was awesome. Bruce and the E street were great! They were full of energy and didn't seem to mind a truncated concert. It was the shortest concert I bet they've ever played. All in all - a solid B+ event!

Why was the Steelers guy who basically hit the Cards guy on the ground not thrown out?
That was a big question of mine! The guy needs to be fined and suspended for that crap.

Why would they mind anyway, the floor audience was staged, they were volunteers to the concert to hold the lighters and cheer and scream to enhance the show. They didn't even get to see the game. I'm sure there were fans, (though I can't see why), but Springsteen sucks.

I think that the TV Ads were crappy because more so than being TV Ads, they were mini stimulus packages for NBC

It's obnoxious to quote yourself but I found an article that validates what I was saying above:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28982084/
Amateurs beat pros, win $1 million ad challenge
Doritos ad, made for $2,000, wins Super Bowl contest as most popular spot
When the makers of Doritos offered a promotion seeking Super Bowl ads from its customer base they offered two prizes. Each of five finalists got $25,000, but snack-maker Frito-Lay also promised $1 million if the ad chosen to run during the big game could beat Budweiser, Coke, CareerBuilder and the other traditional heavyweights in a prominent national ranking.
Last night, Doritos had to write the the big check.
Against all odds, two brothers who spent about $2,000 on Doritos' "Crystal Ball" ad ended up as the No. 1 selection in USA Today's Ad Meter focus group ranking and took home the $1 million prize.
More at the link. I hope that they have this next year. I could use a cool mil ;)

Honsestly though, I liked the Career Builder ad where the lady screamed, the Asian boss guy disparaged, and they punched a Koala bear....
Too funny!!!!

then the guys who came after and swung at steelers players in 2 separate occasions should be as well, one was ealier in the game, i'll have to watch it again to figure it out, and the other was when ike taylor got flagged for contact out of bounds, a lineman swung at him, and two others pushed him

I think what was ticking Harrison off was that they were going after his knees when they were cutting him. I don't condone his retaliation and I am glad he was flagged but after you get held and chopped all game you have to get a little torqued.
I just read an ESPN article calling into question the 100-yd TD return. I guess no matter how many times a play is reviewed their will be bitter people. Either way we still have a six pack! :bandit:
