its not a major problem but Before WARNED.
We bought the wife a new 2008 Saturn Vue last March. it came with a 1 free year of ON STAR and a 15 or 30 mins of a built in hands free car phone. i decided to add 60 extra mins's of the phone service just for safety .as the wife works 12 midnights and its her who drives the car the most. anyway come to find out after getting are bank statement. ONSTAR without any prenotes just withdrew the fees out of are account. well that didn't upset me. but what did was when we called to cancel. we find out it take over 30 days for them to refund the fees to are account. but took them only seconds to grab the cash.:(

They withdrew fees for an extra you opted for? Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

So it came with 1 year free... then you provided them your banking info for additional phone minutes and they then automatically renewed the OnStar service for another year.

Is that right?

yesqand no it 15 mins they give you free, i added 100 mins for $15 when we first got the car as i activated the phone.also the first time you activate the system you supply the operator with a e-mail address to send you car monthy heath reports.
and needed to provide a credit card no.its also used to exstend the xm radio beyond the 3 month free trial. they give you a special price as a new client to xm radio and billed every 1/4 or a one time billing for a full year of service. GM supplys you with 1 year free onstar road hazard. its just added into the cars retail price. but as we/you all know try asking for a credit if you dont want it :)
