As of Friday March 6th at around 12:15pm I finished all of my academic requirements for my MBA degree. This past week I have been in Praha, Ceska Republika with some of my classmates participating in the study-abroad component of our degree. Teams of 5 were assigned to work with local corporations on a wide array of projects that included everything from restructuring an organization, launching new products in the CR, and determining how foreign exchange rates are affecting the CR economy. My team presented last Wednesday, and we delivered our final reports on Friday!!!!
While most of my classmates moved onto other European countries on Saturday, I decided to stay in Praha for a couple extra days to see the Praha Castle, explore random alleys and streets, and of course get pickpocketed by a prostitute (no, that didn't happen to me, but i know someone whom it did happen to!). I have been taking hundreds of photos, most of which will probably be garbage, but c'est la vie...i'm in Europe!!! The weather here has been very cloudy with random rain showers in the evening. Of course the morning I am leaving, the sun finally comes out and the skies are blue.
But, that's okay. Because I am off to Athens, Greece in a few hours where the weather is mid 60s and sunny. I will be there for a couple days, then I'm off to the Cyclades islands in particular Santorini, Naxos, and Paros for a little more than a week. Then I return to Athens for another couple days where I'm hoping to visit my friend who lives up in Thessaloniki (about 1.5 hour plane ride from Athens). After Greece, I am headed to Rome, Italy for 6 days and then Florence, Italy for another 6 days.
I can't believe I have finished my grad degree, especially a quarter early! While my classmates are returning to class in a week, I get to travel for a month. Doesn't sound fair, does it?!
Mwahahahaha :hehehmm:
I am sorry I haven't been posting as much on G|A the past, oh, 18 months or so. Grad school's been taking up a lot of my free time. Alas, I will be returning to Los Angeles with or without a job by June and will be organizing the 2009 G|A SoCal Get Together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once I get to Greece I will start posting some photos. For those of you on facebook, i have already started adding some photos there. The internet here in Praha was spotty at best, so I haven't been able to keep up with my uploading.
Cheers
