I was going to get this drive, but there are a lot of failed units. Same for Hitachi and Seagate.

The only 1 TB unit I am considering is the WD Green drive which is $10 more with a Newegg code.

Any links to back this up? I haven't seen many people complaining about the Samsung drive. Yeah, the Seagate had issues, but they released a firmware to fix that. And as far as Hitachi goes I haven't looked at them lately.

Looking at the Newegg reviews there isn't anything to indicate "a lot of failed units". Sure there are some, but there are far more that aren't.
