today in the mail i got a letter from AT&T that said they were dissapointed that i had switched long distance carriers. to lure me back, they offered me $100 cash if i switched back to my original plan. so woopie, this whole effortless sharade has got me $250 total! what an awesome deal =]

Have anyone successfully closed their MCI account with no problems (no commitments)? They sent me a GC code to Amazon.com, but I wasn't very sure if I could cancel the account, so I haven't used the $150 certificate yet.

Cha-ching Cha-ching...!!

Me and my roommate not only switched to MCI, got two $150 GCs to AMAZON... and then successfully switched back to our original long distance carrier... no questions asked....

BUT... to top it all off... MCI calls us back the other day saying that they'll offer us $75 in free long distance calls if we switched back...

We didn't wanna push it, so we refused. But we used both AMAZON GCs and they both went through all good! (besides the fact that you can't use both with one order.. TRUST ME... we thought of EVERYTHING!!.. at least the not-so-complicated-ways)...

Thanks MCI!

Dang it, I only got a check for $80. :) I wonder if MCI will want me back - I love when phone companies fight for your business.

What was that AT&T number to call for the $100?

wasn't a number, just something they sent me in the mail ... i REALLY doubt you could just call them up and request it. but i wanted to alert people it was going on and to look out for it ...

First AT&T for the $50 SuperCertificate,
then the $150 MCI/Amazon deal,
then AT&T again for a $50 Amazon GC,
then MCI again for a $50 Blockbuster GC,
now a $100 check from AT&T to switch back....

Damn...I'm getting so much out of my phone companies. And all the above in less than two months.... I wonder if there's any way that all this switching around will come back and haunt my later on somehow....

Anyone still have the link to the MCI/Amazon $150 GC signup page?

how can you get to use the att offer twice. I did the $50 supercertificate many months back but now I can't even do the $50 amazon one. it keeps saying We are unable to continue with your order. Please call 1-888-9ATT-WEB (1-888-928-8932) to speak with one of our AT&T Online Customer Service Representatives who can assist you with completing your order.

Eternity,
They have your phone number on record and won't let you sign up again with the same number. I changed the last digit of my number to make it go through, when AT&T came back and said that number wasn't valid I told them the correct one so I could get the offer. Worked for me three times so far!

hmmm! I switched on Dec 19. I switched back to AT&T on Dec 31. Today (Jan 22) I received my $150 certificate, Last week I received an AT&T $70 check. and 2 Letters from MCI each contains $10 check. Also, $150 Credit in my MCI account.
so the total is $150+$70+$10+$10+$150CR. I called MCI and they said they will keep my $150 credit until I switch back to them again. may be 2 months from now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a bad deal, and i'm thinking of using the other AT&T deal!

P.S. I'm posting this to inform the others that it is possible to receive your certificate even at this late date!

also if you just switch the last number, won't they know because of the social security number?

The $50 Amazon AT&T link is www. att . com/ et50

It doesn't say on the page, but if you look in the corner it says something about the special offer. Its the GC.
