i'm looking for a credit card that offers airline miles. generic is fine.

i was thinking of the NWA worldperks visa...and then i found out it's no longer offered to new members due to the merger with delta. the delta card is amex, and i don't want to get into what's wrong with that

does anyone have a card that offers air miles that they are satisfied with or would recommend?

thanks in advance.

I was going to say the Worldperks Visa - they discontinued it?? That's too bad - I hope that won't affect mine...

Why would you want miles over cashback?

i had 2 cashback cards. one wasn't really cashback, but a deal where you get a stupid discount on items that you can get a better deal on elsewhere. the other one was my amex, and to be honest it didn't pay off too well.

Starwood Amex.

You get one starwood point per $ spent, which can be used for hotel stays at Westin, W, Sheraton, etc.

OR

you can convert SPG points to airline miles at the rate of 20k SPG --> 25k miles. So you aren't locked into one airline. It does have an annual fee ($40 I think?), but for me, it's totally worth the flexibility and 1.25 miles/$ conversion.

Oh, and if you spend $30k/year on it, you get Starwood Gold status, which gets you upgrades at Starwood hotels.
