Ha! Try using it on a Tuesday and see if you get as frustrated as I did.

-warning- long rambling story to follow:

About 2 years ago a BWW opened roughly 1/4 mile from my house. I like me some spicy wings, and they had a promotion where the first 100 customers on opening day get "free wings for a year." So I got there early and was #84 in line. Had to wait a couple hours, and in the end got a coupon book with 52 coupons for "6 free wings". Each coupon was good for a specific week of the year. That was the only restriction on the coupons, along with "1 per customer" and "cannot be used in conjunction with other offers." I certainly didn't expect free unlimited wings for a year, and I was pretty happy with the results.

So over the next few weeks I used several of the coupons, each time ordering additional wings and a drink and/or side. Probably spending an additional ~$10 per visit. The wings were pretty good, and spicy enough. The rest of the food was pretty boring, but whatever. I was satisfied.

Until I tried to use a coupon on a Tuesday. Apparently Tuesdays are $.50 wing day, and I was informed by my server that I couldn't use these coupons on Tuesdays because they "cannot be used in conjunction with other offers." I assumed, since the entire restaurant was new, the server was just mistaken and asked to speak with a manager. The manager had the same story (paraphrasing here):

Manager: You can't use those coupons with another offer.
MrGreg: I don't want to use them with another offer, I just want the 6 free wings.
Manager: But it's $.50 wing Tuesday, and that's the other offer.
MrGreg: I'm not going to order any $.50 wings, just the free 6 and a soda and some fries.
Manager: Can't do it. Wings are $.50 today.
MrGreg: I don't want to use this coupon in conjunction of your $.50 wing offer, I want to use it instead of that offer.
Manager: Nope.
MrGreg: So I can't ever use these coupons on any Tuesday?
Manager: Nope.
MrGreg: It doesn't say that on the coupon anywhere.
Manager: I'm sorry you don't understand that you can't use this coupon in conjunction with other offers.
[this is where I got angry]
MrGreg: I'm sorry you don't understand what the phrase "in conjunction with" means. You're really willing to lose $10 times 52 weeks in sales because of $3 worth of wings?
Manager: Yes.
MrGreg: Good luck with that business model.

I set the entire coupon book on the table and left. Haven't gone back since, and have convinced several more people to never go there again.

I could totally understand if the coupons had said "Not valid on Tuesdays", or if he said "any wings you order beyond the first 6 are normal price, not $.50" (i.e. in conjunction with). I probably should have complained to corporate, but I didn't.

So anybody who gets this coupon, please try it on a Tuesday and let me know how that works out for you.

Thanks, and great story Mr. Greg.

That's what happens when you slap a 'manager' tag on someone who has no clue about business or actually MANAGING anything.

Coupon is dead. They wont accept them any more.

Funny how they will dump 10 million on advertizing to TRY and get people in the door, where a coupon they post on a website is nearly free, and people will come in by themselves and probably order a few 900% markup beers and a meal or two as well.

Yeah, real good business plan they have. No wonder they are closing all over the area where I live and only survive in the "run out for lunch" areas and "No other place for happy hour after work" strip malls.

A Chilis, Applebees, or TGI Fridays opens within a mile and the BWW place will close.
