Some of you may recall that I lost my step brother in the end of November and my step-grandmother right before christmas. Well, I had broken my cell phone and I was using a spare. When I finally purchased a replacement cell, I had all my numbers transfered to the new cell. This included both of their numbers, which I have yet to delete.

For some reason I cant bring myself to delete these numbers even though there is no logical reason to keep them. On top of which, I find that I forget that they are still in there and as a result it sometimes reminds me of their loss.

Has anyone else had trouble deleting someone's number before? I know its not logical, but I guess it seems that by removing their number I have removed them from my life. Obviously that is ridiculous since the numbers are disconnected and I will never forget their memories. Anyone else ever had a similar feeling.

He is still alive, but I still have a birthday greeting from my Grandfather he left on my answering machine a couple years ago (maybe even three). He is in his 90's now. I can understand the desire not to delete them out of your life.

Somewhat related to Zippy's comment:

A co-worker has saved all of her father's voicemails. He died 4 years ago. She listens to them at least once a week.
