Ok, so I'm trying to get a store credit at Best Buy for an iTouch I won as an attendance prize.

Cust Service is nice, but explains they can't take it without a receipt. Apple started serializing these things according to vendor sold, thank you Sony PS2 - that's when that process started.

Well, the manager, trying to divert me, said, "give it to your mom for mothers day."

I said, "My mom won't have the foggiest on how to use this."

She said, "Ok, give it to your dad on father's day."

I said, "My dad passed away in January."

*********************************************

I shouldn't have enjoyed watching her face, but I did.

I'm a BAD man.

give it? hell, sell it to me...

you're not a bad man. they should have taken it. they make a killing anyhow because without a receipt they'd give you the lowest sale price they've had in the last 50 years on the product, including promotions and coupons.

I was thinking $175 seems fair, if you're in ConUS. Interested?

How much do you want for it? I have been considering getting one.

I said, "My mom won't have the foggiest on how to use this."I gave my wife one for mother's day - she was as giddy as a schoolgirl. I gave my mom an iPod classic for Christmas. She probably doesn't have the foggiest. She'll probably use it with the dozen or so CDs I put on it for her and leave the other 79MB unused.

Anyway, I would have sold it on eBay. I'm always amazed that people will pay more than retail on eBay for something so common they could buy it at Wal-Mart or Target.
