This drive allows you to connect headphones, guitar, MIDI, and other stuff to your SB Live.

This is SB Live Drive 1.0 Bare drive, no cables, etc...

Just so you know-The SB Live Value does not support this drive.

Nice find! I have the Live! X-Gamer board. I wonder how much it will cost to get the cables and software? Have you seen any sources for the cables?

The cables to connect the drive to the live is just a ide 40 pin cable

Raimin,

Thanks! Sounds like you've installed one before!

i have the original Live card with the digital I/O board on a slot, not a bay. I was wondering the older digital I/O board will work on an X-Gamer card because I wanted to sell mine and get a LiveDrive because I am running out of slots and i have an extra bay to use.

It is such a great time. Too bad I have a Value card. :(

Inspector,

You don't happen to one one of the new tiny Nokia 8260's do you? If so... I think I have a ring tone you might just like. ;) Let me know and I can email it to your phone.

I think this will work with some of the live values. They say it will not work With the Live! Value (CT4670) Card. I think this is the original one. The newer live values are some other number. The new ones have the digital out. If I'm not mistaken, they are identical to the x-gamer and mp3, except that the value doesn't have the digital input.

Can anyone confirm this?

i6s1...

You are correct

I have one of the "newer values" as well.

The number is ct4830

hope this helps

I did a search for Soundblaster Live and I found that COMP-U-Plus has the SB4620 and not the CT4620 for $47.00. Anybody know if this is the same card? The Platinum averages $190.00. Way too expensive!

I do know my SB Live! Value card has digit i/o, sore of the 2nd version of SB Live! Value. Think it could fit the live drive?

Too bad it doesn't have an optical port. I guess I have to keep the Hoontech add on in my computer. I would love to have that in one of my bays.
