I have one of these keyboards and paid quite a bit more even when it was on sale. It’s great for when the wife is watching TV and wants the lights off. At this price I’m going to order another as spare. I never know when I’m going to spill a cup of coffee on one of our computer’s keyboards (again... sigh).

Only problem with this keyboard (and I used to own one), the backlight doesn't show through the keys, so you pretty much can't see the letters when the room is dark, you see the outline of the key.
I like my Logitech G15 much better since the letters themselves are illuminated for true "night typing". :D
Still.. that's a good price for that keyboard.

I’ve owned the blue LED version of this keyboard for about a month and the light shines through the keys both on the bright and dim level settings. Since I’m a hunt-and-peck typist, I need too be able to clearly see the letters on the keys. That’s why I ordered a spare yesterday. Perhaps Saitek has had a redesign since you’ve owned one. I replaced a Trust backlighted keyboard (a total piece of junk) with the Saitek.
Some of the customer reviews at Newegg stated that the red LED version does not adequately illuminate the keys’ letters.

My bad, I confused it with the Saitek Gamer's keyboard.
I've had both of them... The problem I had with the Eclipse board was that I wore the paint off of some of the keys so I couldn't even see what the letters were anymore over time. Hence, my replacing it with a G15 which illuminates the keys much better than the Eclipse did. (but of course the G15 costs a heckuva lot more than this. :D )

Yeah, I like the G15 more too. I do wish it wasn't orange, though.

That's probably my only complaint with it... Not being able to change the backlight color...
But I must say, the orange is VERY visible in a very dark room (it just doesn't match all the other "blue" lights that eminate from my PC. :D
