Whenever i want to download a file, I click on the link and my computer freezes, I cant do anything untill the download box opens up, then the computer responds again. Sometimes the download box comes up quick, other times it takes up to 45 seconds.
Another problem I have which i think is also related. Whenever i play quake 3 TA, after about 5 min it gets really choppy. I think everytime it doesn't get a packet my video/audio freezes. IT PISSES THE HELL OUT OF ME!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE THE FLAG AND IT LOOKS LIKE I'M RUNNING AROUND IN A ROOM FULL OF STROBE LIGHTS!!!!

I guess i should let you know this started after i installed WinMe

could someone please please help?? Thanks

Have you looked at your system resource? One of my friends had a similar problem when he was running a bunch of stuff and his memory usage went way up. He had a bunch of things running at startup, and once he closed them down they went away. Why did you go to me also? (not trying to be insulting or anything, just wondering). I went to 2k, just for stability.

I'm having the same problem on Win2k (I think it started after I installed IE5.5 which, as you know, is built into Windows ME). It only happens when I save to a directory that has a lot of files in it.
