My computer downloaded it as part of the latest updates. Anybody else try it yet? Any thoughts? Running Vista 32 bit.

I use it on WinXP.
So far, I have no gripes on it. It has a few nice updated features (like "crash recovery" memory and the ability to guess where you are going to navigate based on your previous history) and it's a bit faster than the old version 7 was.

I've been using it for a while now on XP Pro for work and Vista at home and have no problems with it. I still prefer Firefox but the new updates to IE8 are fine except for at work where my applications use JAVA and IE8 will suddenly die but runs just fine in FF.

Got | the latest JRE (http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp)?
This (http://raproducts.org/javara.html) removes older versions and unnecessary JRE-related files...
I use IE8 on WinXP for certain websites, but otherwise I am using Chrome. IE8 loads up very slowly on my Acer Aspire One netbook, so that's why i'm using Chrome.

There are some nice features such as if you want to look something up you no longer have to do a copy past to the search bar- you can just highlight and click on options. It did freeze up on me twice the first day I used it.
