They have a bouquet listed called Hearts Desire for $34.95 which is comparable to the FTD Forever Yours that lists for $69.99! The fresh flowers does not come in a vase, but I think that can be over looked (Donnie :) )
Other great deals like 12 roses for $34.95, heck 2 dozen for $52.95!

Was Valentine's Day invented solely to empty out guys' pockets or what?

No. I spent more than $35 on Donnie... I think it should go both ways!
I am just helping you guys look like you are spending all that money :)

If you want a vase.... just add on another $6.95. Sounds like a GOOD deal compared to 1800FLowers. I just hope the quality and all isn't compramised for the price.... you know how girls are with flowers... they could tell...
Thanks for that MONEY saving tip!!
(stupid Valentine's Day.. Bah-Humbug!)

I used a 15% off coupon code for 1-800-flowers.com and got my girlfriend 10 sunflowers for valentine's day. you may think that is weird, but sunflowers are her favorite, and i'm sure she will appreciate them more than roses or carnations, etc. :D

My girlfriend (and mom) has enjoyed flowers from Proflowers.com (http://www.Proflowers.com) for over three years! Great low prices! :P

Costco has 2 dozen boquet (however you spell it) of roses for only 12.99. Buy a vase or something, that would be cheap.....heh heh....i dunno about other Costcos, but the ones in Sacramento Valley do.....heh

I did some comparing of prices on things other than roses and I found that http://www.Proflowers.com actually has the best prices over the others mentioned.
Other Valentine options people might want to try, since roses are getting to be an old idea, are Asiatic Lillies (15 big blossoms for 29.95, they look great), or Blue Irises (20 for 39.95). Good Luck!

I love flowers. I love giving them and getting them. My girlfriend reaps the benefits of that. She gives me a hrad time about liking flowers, but it's cool.
You've just gotten to know a bit more about the ol' BrewMaster. Love beer, love flowers...odd combo, but that's me.

No need to make her more bitter. Its only natural to feel resentment towards the opposite sex right around Valentines day if you don't have someone to share it with. Thats why I think that Valentines day sucks just for the fact that if you don't have someone special in your life, you'll be reminded of it everywhere you look.
Plus the fact that every restaurant in the US has a 2 hour waiting list.

For the orignal post, the picture doesn't match the description for hearts desire:
"Give your special someone thier hearts desire with our stunning bouquet consisting of 4 Long Stem Red Roses (18 - 22"), 3 White Lilies and Baby's Breath."
The picture has many additional flowers but no baby's breath. I think you will end up getting something different than what you expect.

If you REALLY want to be cheep, grow your own flowers. That way you can save gas money and flower money.
