I'd forgotten all about this freebie, but today the UPS man left a package on my doorstep, and sure enough -- it contained an information pack (which I've circular filed), a book on designing resilient distributed systems (which I may actually skim), and a totally cool keyring voice recorder (which is the "prize" item in this deal).

The recorder is small and lightweight enough that it'd make a pretty decent keyring. And although the 10 sec. recording time isn't all that great, it's definitely good enough for short-term storage of a few names, addresses, or phone numbers.

So a very nice deal, and all the nicer for having surprised me with its arrival.
