Alabama has been NASCAR territory for generations, but starting next April it will also be home to America's premier open-wheel racing series (http://blog.al.com/blogoftomorrow/2009/07/indy_coming_to_barber.html).

The test in March (http://www.gotapex.com/1291345-post1.html) was outstanding from a spectator standpoint - the missus and I, along with a couple of gearhead friends, had a great time at the track and in the paddock.

The proposed date is just before our anniversary, which is perfect.

They will be using the same tracks as nascar? So just going in loops or will it be like those twisty-turny tracks?

I had the roof on my house replaced two weeks ago. The sales guy for the roofing company has a son who crews for the (Tony) Stewart-Haas Racing (http://www.stewarthaasracing.com/index.php) NASCAR team. He said that his son told him that Danica had a sit-down lunch with the owners and crew chiefs of the team recently.
