I noticed a coupla people saying how expensive long dist is at college. I just wanted to alert you to the phone card I used in college, and still use. It works ESPCIALLY well from LA and Texes, as it has local access numbers.

Anyway, it's acculinq.com, and I happen to like the versatility (i.e., it's got great international rates, and since my folks live up in Canada, you can't beat 5 cents a minutes with a stick). That, and they usually forget to charge you the pay phone charge. That, and there's no charge for using it from a cell phone (some have that).

I dunno, just figured you might not know about it. If anyone has anything better, let me know.

bigzoo.com = 2.9 cents a min w/ local #, 3.9 for tollfree. you buy in denominations of 5, 10, and 20, and i believe there's like a 75 cent per month charge or per denomination... (not sure) which comes out to like 3.4 cents per minute or less (in $5 denomination), or 3.2 cents with $10 denomination..

The thing is, acculinq.com doesn't need to be pre-paid, they just bill you with the amount of usage. Personally, I prefer this over the constant hassle of having to buy new minutes every couple of weeks...then again, some people might think otherwise. It's all about preference.
